Ergon GP Series
The GP1 revolutionized the bicycle grip.
The original ergonomic grip!
Continously refined over the last few years, the GP1 is the worldwide standard in ergonomic function, materials, and quality. Since 2015 the GP1 contains a new internal structure. The three-part internal support platform allows for additional comfort through varying wall thicknesses. Premium features are echoed throughout the model with the use of the purest quality German rubber compounds and forged aluminium clamps.

Numb fingers, painful hands, or forearm discomfort—common problems that many riders experience. Ergon grips solve these issues and correct the root of the problems.
Improved Pressure Distribution
Hand Position Adjustments
The GP Series has been continuously updated and further developed since its introduction.

Made in Germany
Ergon‘s Product Development Team is constantly performing extensive material tests, which far exceed the bike industry‘s quality standards. Over the last few years Ergon has developed and tested more than 50 different grip rubber compounds.
Our new grip material, developed and made in Germany, complies with the highest purity standards and is characterized by its extremely high UV-stability properties. In the bicycle industry, these are unique characteristics on a global scale.
Cork is naturally anti-bacterial, anti-allergic, and therefore especially skin-friendly. It has very good damping properties and due to the low density is very lightweight.
The grip body consists of 40% cork. It comes from biologically certified cork farms in Portugal which follow strict ecological guidelines.
The best of two worlds
The leather from Bavaria, Germany is certified, naturally tanned, untreated, open-pore, and retains its natural characteristics. The production is innovative, stitchless, and was developed in collaboration with London shoe designer, Quoc Pham.
All parts of the grip are continuously produced with an ecological theme. 40% of the inner plastic core is preduced with natural grass fibers.
Function and Sustainability
The clamp is made of 100% recyclable aluminum.
Adapted grips for different requirements
The GP grip series provides the right grip configuration for every type of shifting system and every hand size.
Regular Shifters: Both Grips are Long
Gripshift / Dual Twist Shifters: Both Grips are Shortened
Rohloff / Nexus / Single Twist Shifter: Right Grip is Shortened, Left Grip is Long
Since hand sizes vary from person to person, the GP grips are offered in two sizes, Small and Large.
